A useful distinction
A weekly total and a monthly total answer different questions. Time zones and the event used for date assignment can also matter. A tidy chart should not hide these differences before a performance interpretation is proposed.
Put it into practice
Record period start, end and report type beside each export. Check the provider’s date definitions and compare like with like. Leave an unmatched total labelled instead of normalising it silently, especially when the report concerns orders, shipments or later adjustments.
