An affiliate programme can connect a publisher’s referral activity with compensation under stated terms. A link click does not necessarily qualify for payment. The merchant or network defines the relevant conditions, reporting and eligibility for that particular programme.
Put it into practice
Draw a fictional example with publisher, reader and merchant as separate roles. Mark which event the terms define as eligible, leaving uncertain details unknown. Do not turn a general explanation into a promised commission rate, approval or earnings outcome.
